Melanie Sanchez

Melanie is a senior in Adams House concentrating in Psychology with a secondary in Art, Film, and Visual Studies. She serves as the VP of Community Engagement for LiFT, and her passion for fostering connection stems from her previous experiences in communications and marketing roles across campus organizations, as well as her time advising first-years and learning the value of belonging. Originally from the tight-knit community of Golden Gate in Naples, Florida, Melanie attributes much of her journey as a first-generation student to the support of those who believed in her—and she hopes to help the Latine community at Harvard do the same: uplift one another and keep pushing forward. Outside of LiFT, you can find Melanie in the Adams GroupMe asking for Uno cards, playing fetch with her cat, or making cafecito to cope with the lack of Cuban coffee in Boston.
