Branches

Finance

The Finance Branch's mission is to connect students with industry professionals by leading sponsorship outreach efforts to cultivate partnerships with finance firms. We organize industry-specific events, such as firm spotlights and founder talks, to provide valuable insights and networking opportunities. Additionally, we facilitate mentorship initiatives and peer-led resource programs to support our members, offering tailored assistance for those pursuing traditional and non-traditional careers in finance.

Consulting

LiFT’s Consulting Branch hopes to educate and empower our members by extending their understanding of the consulting industry beyond the traditional MBB (McKinsey, BCG, Bain) path. Through panels and mentorship opportunities, we hope to increase awareness for a wide range of opportunities. We will be connecting our members with alumni and professionals through coffee chats and Q&A sessions, to help students learn how their skills and interests can align with consulting. Ultimately, our goal as a branch is to create a community that encourages diverse career paths and equips members with the confidence and knowledge to break into the consulting industry.

Technology

The Technology Branch aims to equip members with real, hands-on experiences that prepare them to tackle any technical role. We organize events with our sponsors to give members a chance to network and learn about technical applications. In addition, we partner with other pre-professional and affinity groups on campus. Our goal is to make members feel more confident to break into tech and related fields.

Law & Non-Profits

The Law and Non Profits Branch aims to provide various resources towards our members such as workshops, panelists events and field trips such as going to court hearings and law firm tours. Our goal is to provide you with guidance to help you reach your goals and gain valuable skills.

Operations

The Operations Branch is committed to sustaining LiFT internally while aiding other branches. You will find us keeping the budget up to date and managing logistics. We are focused on ensuring the success of LiFT and giving back to the Latinx community!

Community Engagement

The Community Engagement Branch creates opportunities for Latinx students to connect across interests and industries, fostering relationships grounded in peer support, collaboration, and cross-industry dialogue that strengthen our community.

The Beginning

Founded in 2018 by Calvin Duran '21, Harvard Undergraduate Latinxs in Finance & Technology (LiFT) is a student-run organization at Harvard that provides professional resources and support for Harvard Latinx students. LiFT's mission is to challenge the narrative of minority underrepresentation in industries such as business, technology, law, media and more. LiFT's presence on campus is threefold: pre-professional workshops, professional exposure, and a tight-knit Latinx mentorship network
